Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable assistant to join our growing team.  In order to be successful in this role and meet or exceed company targets, this candidate should feel comfortable communicating with people at all levels  This role requires an energetic, creative, process-driven and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.  This is an entry level accounting position with opportunity for growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist the Orders/Logistics Manager with overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable department.

·         Assist with general office duties (i.e. scanning in documents)

·         Report damage/defective items to vendors

·         Interact with other departments to reconcile that all items are received

·         Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries

·         Review and post invoices in the accounting system

·         Process internal credit card receipts

·         Reconcile that all payables are up to date

·         Ensure payments are done in a timely fashion

·         Set up new vendor information, update vendor information as needed

·         Respond to vendor inquiries


·         Self-motivated and willing to take direction when required

·         Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment

·         Detail oriented

·         Familiarity with basic accounting and accounting software

·         Must have basic computer skills with accuracy (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

·         Ability to multitask


Preferred Requirements:
A.A.S. in Accounting or a B.S. in Accounting
1 – 3 years’ experience
